Respiratory diseases

Sometimes the normal functioning of the respiratory system is disrupted and causes respiratory diseases. These diseases have causes, treatments, and symptoms. The disease includes various disorders of respiratory organs like bronchitis, emphysema, pneumonia, asthma, lung cancer, and many other complicated diseases. First, we will study what is respiratory system and the organs this system includes.

Respiratory system

The respiratory system of humans is responsible not only for breathing but it has an important role in the exchange of gases. In the mechanism of breathing, we inhale oxygen and exhale acidic and harmful gas carbon dioxide. This oxygen moves through the respiratory tract which includes the organ like nose,  pharynx, larynx, trachea, Bronchi, bronchioles, and then finally in the lungs. The lungs contain alveoli. In alveoli, the exchange of oxygen with carbon dioxide takes place and oxygen moves into the bloodstream and plays its role in respiration. These organs make up a system called the respiratory system.
